Photography: Getting Shots of the Groom and Best Man

The lovely May 12, 2012 wedding of Astrid Gevers and Juan Van Rooyen in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa was many kinds of awesome. Lots of black, white, and red. A yummy dessert bar. A flower girl with a pacifer. But what I loved most about the wedding was that the photographer, Iz Labuschagne of Iz Labuschagne Photography, took the time to get shots of the groom and best man getting ready and hanging out pre-wedding. Right!?!?! I mean, normally, there's loads of pictures of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready but who remembers to get ones of the boys? Iz Labuschagne, that's who.

Big fat kudos to Astrid Gevers and Juan Van Rooyen and Iz Labuschagne for taking the time to document the wedding day for the boys of the wedding party. How many of you plan on asking your photographer to do the same for you? I think it adds a unique side fo the wedding story and should not be overlooked!
