Bar Ideas: Nix the Bar!

Nix the bar? Are. You. Crazy? Yep, but not in the way that you think.

Having a bar at a reception should be considered a luxury – not an expectancy. Bars cost a lot…and I'm not just talking about the price of liquor. You have to have a bar/table, decor, tons of glasses, and bartenders. That's a chunk of change for something that your guests can basically do themselves. I mean, they pour their own wine and beer at home, right? So why not have them do it at your wedding?

Here are some great ideas for including wine, beer, or a signature drink at each guest's table. Bonus: The booze can double as decor or as table numbers!

Mix up a massive amount of a tropical cocktail in the back and then decant into managable glass pitchers on each table. refill pitchers as needed.

Love this idea. Select two or three bottles of wine per table and slap a table number on them. Let guests serve themselves. Easy peasy.

I love this idea because it can double as a centerpiece and takes the place of expensive servers during the wedding toasts.
