Inexpensive Options: Groomsmen’s Edition

So yesterday, we tackled the bridesmaids and found them stylish but affordable wedding attire. And today is all about the mens. We all love the boys and the way they look when they get all dressed up for an event. The best part of the whole "boys dressing as grown-ups" thing? Thanks to several mainstream stores taking on the suit industry – in today's world, groomsmen can affordably suit up.

Here's several outfit options that I have put together – all for under $100.00!

Option #1 (Total Cost of Outfit – $98.26):

Walmart Classic Suit Jacket – $56.88

Walmart Suit Pant – $23.88

For sheer good looks and simplicity – you simple cannot beat the traditional suit and tie combo. To keep costs down, don't stress out about the label in the suit. Have the 'mens buy affordable separates in a slightly larger size than normal and then hit a good tailor for a "custom" fit.

Save a bit of money – every man on the planet owns his own basic white button-down shirt. They all look the same under a suit jacket! So ask the men to provide their own.

Rabbitstop's Shop Silk Necktie in Burgundy – $17.50

Finish off this classic look with a timeless burgaundy silk tie. Very nice. Plus, for a couple of bucks more you can have the designer create a custom label to attach to it (then it can double as an attendant gift!).

Option #2 (Total Cost of Outfit – $69.99):

Old Navy Moleskin Trousers in Antlers – $10.99

If your 'maids are wearing a more casual (but still traditional) style, then skip the suit for your guys and let them rock some classicly styled slacks.

Old Navy Plaid Shirt in Cyclamen – $19.50

Pair the trousers above with a more casual and colorful shirt. This one contributes a bit of red to the show but won't overwhelm everything around it. Wear it open over a plain white T-shirt.

Old Navy Two-Button Blazers in Khaki – $39.50

Top off this look with a classic khaki blazer. Wear it with the top button done up for a slightly cleaner look.

Option #3 (Total Cost of Outfit – $74.49):

Old Navy Boot-Cut Jeans in New Dark Authentic – $29.50

For super laid-back weddings – let them wear jeans. Just be sure to insist upon dark wash jeans without any tears, bleach marks, or rips. Otherwise…trashy and not timeless.

J Crew Cotton-Cashmere V-Neck Sweater in Bisque – $29.99

If you definately want your 'mens sporting jeans on your big day then you need to be sure and class them up a bit – tastefully, of course. Pair dark jeans with this red (hello, cashmere!) V-neck sweater.

Walmart Long-Sleeve Button-Down Contemporary Stripe Shirt – $15.00

Keep this casual look tasteful by pairing the V-Neck sweater over this simple but slick button down shirt. Wear this one with a couple of the top buttons undone then, loosely roll up the sleeves of both the shirt and the sweater to about mid-elbow.
