Blue and Brown Wedding Ideas

I was chatting with my friend Amanda today about her upcoming September wedding and she mentioned that she had decided to do her wedding in blue and chocolate brown – very chic. This was decided based upon her love of the color blue and also that fact that they had already decided to do coffee beans as their favors. I loved that! I was thinking about her colors and ideas and wandering the Web…and found these lovely ideas (in case she, or someone else interested in that color combo for their wedding, is reading!):

Love this sweet country take on the color blue! I think that the gingham table linens are brillant.

What a great little idea. Instead of messy confetti or birdseed – have your guests ring bells post-ceremony.

An awesome idea for a covered ceremony or reception area (like a gazebo!) – dig out your old Christmas lights and some pretty paper lanterns and voila! Instant oomph.

So I really like this little idea – a mini menu for the bar (and/or buffet). I vote that you save some money and just print up one or two for the bar and then for the buffet. To make the dots, use a foam brush and brush some paint on to mini bubble wrap. Turn over, stamp, and let dry. Then run it through a printer!

A nice idea for packaging coffee bean favors. I'd fill a cellophane bag halfway and then fold down the top and staple. Wrap piece of paper or ribbon around it and secure with double stick tape. Top off with a couple of hole punches and threaded ribbon.

Another fun idea for coffee bean favors. Fill a cellophane bag almost 2/3s full, twist the top, and secure with a piece of tape. Place in the middle of a square of tissue paper, lift the edges and twist. Secure with a pretty contrasting ribbon and a monogram sticker.
