My favorite weddings are the ones that nix the traditional buffet or seat-down dinner and go for family style dining. Each table has serving platters and bowls with selected items form the menu in each one and every guest serves themselves (just around the old family dinner table – hence the name). One of my very fave ideas as a side dish are:

This dish has only four components and can be made the day before. Pair it with a simple sour cream and herb dip and place in a classic white bowl or a rustic wooden bowl. Watch your guests smile and dig in!
