DIY: Rustic Table Numbers Tutorial

Thank you so much for the amazing response to my patriotic styled shoot (with Katie of Lovebird Productions, Melisa of Melisa Urban Photography, and Amanda Mann). I shared the DIY tutorial (and a free printable) for the cupcake flags on Tuesday and Wednesday, I showed you how to create the cute tassel drink stirrers. Today I've got a final DIY tutorial from this styled shoot – the table numbers!

Step One: Purchase clay pots (I got mine from Ikea) and lightly spray paint with white or cream paint (I used this gadget to prevent ouchy fingers).

Step Two: After the paint dries, remove the center (or main) number from a vinyl house number (I used scissors to cut mine out). Use tape to attach the outer (or negative) part of the vinyl house number to the pot.

Step Three: Use craft paint and a foam brush to gently dab paint all over the inside number part of the vinyl house number.

Step Four: After a minute or so, remove the vinyl house number. Use a cotton swap to clean up any smudges (I got my cotton swap damp and twisted the end in to a point for better accurancy).

Step Five: Enjoy!

How would you use theserustic table numbers at your wedding reception?
