Katie remembers her wedding day as, "The
absolute best! I think back on that day a lot. I got to marry my now good
looking husband. I got to spend the weekend with my friends and family. I got
to dance into the night. It was magical. Oh, and I got wedding cake that was
divine."

Read on for an exclusive interview with Katie of Lovebird Productions and her "Wedding Advice for Newly Engaged Couples"…

How
long after your got engaged did you begin planning the wedding?

This
usually shocks people but I got engaged, waited two months before planning
anything, booked a place and got married 4 months (to the day) later. It was a
whirlwind!

 How
did you keep track of your wedding planning (book, planner, Excel, other)?

I kept
track of it all through my Mom and best friends. While it was fun, I highly
suggest a wedding planner. I feel it will be the best money you spend from your
budget. A planner sees the overall picture and helps makes your day come
together. Also my mom was setting things up on my wedding day and I hate
thinking about that even to this day. Let a wedding planner work there magic!

Did
you register for gifts and was it a good experience?

Can I
just say blah to registering? We registered then went to a pool party. We
needed a party afterwards to lift our spirits. While the people who helped us
register were wonderful, we were clueless. I think many couples are as well.
Research. I cannot stress this enough. You don’t need a ton of stuff. Get the
basics and build upon that with larger items. Take your time and pick the best.
If I could do this all over again, I would 100%.

Could
you share some wedding planning advice for newly engaged couples?

Take
your time and please do what you want. If you want a rainbow cake, do it. If
you want to elope, do it. Do what sets your heart a blaze! You only get this
chance once.

Could
you share your favorite photo from the day and tell us why you love it?

I love
this photo of us. I think it perfectly captures our joy from our wedding day
but also is a glimpse into our sweet and loving future. My husband is the best!
