I'm in the last weeks of my second trimester and (fatness and a minor anxiety meltdown aside), I'm feeling good for 25 weeks. Here's how it's all goin' down…
How far along? 25 Weeks
Total weight gain: Sweet Jesus. I have avoided this as much as possible up till now but accidentally saw The Number at my check-up. OH. MY. GOD. It's bad. Very, very, VERY bad.
Maternity clothes? All my pre-pregnancy T-shirts are officially too small. Up until now, I was able to wear them to the gym or around the house – now, they no longer cover my belly. When I wear them, I look like I should be living in a trailer park and married to someone named Bubby.
Stretch marks? Strangely enough, not a single one on my belly… yet. I had expected them to start showing up by now.
Sleep: Sleeping okay. Had a few anxiety-induced, poor sleep nights this week but last night was good and restful.
Best moment this week: Talking to our Nurse Practitioner at my 24 week check-up. She's great and really helped me figure out how to tackle my anxiety issues from this week.
Miss Anything? My balance. I can't quite get into a full squat or lunge at the gym because my balance is shaky.
Movement: All the time. She's like a friggin' gymnast in there.
Food cravings: Fruit – always fruit. This week I also really wanted gallons of lemonade.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat is still a no-go. So's anything mayo-based.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nada
Symptoms: I get swollen during workouts and have weird cramping whenever I move abruptly.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On but off for working out.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ugh. This week was a bad one mentally – I was super moody. But things are looking better and The Boy is keeping a close eye on me.
Looking forward to: Clearing out the baby's room! It needs a lot of work but The Boy promised me that he's get a move on putting down our hardwood floors (all 1,800 square feet of it is taking up space in that room) and I'm s-l-o-w-l-y finishing up the detail work in the hall bathroom. Guess what? It takes A LOT longer to do that shit when you're knocked up… I keep getting stuck in corners.
