Yep, it is possible – you simply have to accept that an eco-friendly wedding will involve a bit of compromise. But it CAN be done. Example number one, tableware. Here, you have a bunch of options that are friendly towards the environment.
Option #1: Rent. Rent everything you need (from knives to wine glasses) from one rental store. After the wedding, wash everything in your dishwasher (full loads for optimum efficiency) and redeliver in one trip (to save on gas and pollution). One con of this option – it is definately the most expensive. Which leads us to…
Option #2: Invest. Visit Ikea or Walmart (both companies are trying to become a bit more eco-friendly) and purchase everything that you need. Post-wedding, keep some of the pieces and donate the rest to Goodwill or Salvation Army for a nice write-off. But! If you don't want to mess with the dishwasher at all…
