On our latest #WaltDisneyWorld #vacation, Finn was a little reluctant to hug and pose - a total change from his enthusiastic attitude last year. We weren't shocked - that's normal behavior for a #toddler. I'll be honest, while it was a little disappointing to miss out on those sweet posed pictures of my kids with their favorite characters, it was more important that we not force the experience on him. Since we've been going to a #Disney park a couple of times a year for several years now, I have a few tips to share with you that will help your trip feel as great as ours was. TIP TWO: Let your little ones interact with the characters in whatever way makes them comfortable. Hugs and posing for pictures may be a big no for them but touching a character's nose or blowing kisses from a "safe" distance is still a sweet memory. Don't worry - the photographers are great and will try to capture ALL the moments (and not just the traditional posed ones). #disneylove #magicalmakers #disneygram #instadisney
  • DOUBLE TAP if you'd love to stay at a #waltdisneyworld deluxe resort and get all the perks - at HALF the cost. AD You know you do! On our latest trip to #Disney, we figured out how to do just that. Did you know that #disneyworld has it's own onsite #RV park? And that it is considered a deluxe resort? IT DOES AND IT IS. Disney's #FortWilderness is a huge and a so, so family-friendly way to #relax and enjoy your #vacation while providing direct boat access to the #MagicKingdom! That's right. In addition to fantastic wooded #camping sites, cabins (for those not into the #RVlife), fishing, boating, horses, a dog park, and two amazing pools - #DisneysFortWilderness also has it's very own boat that takes guests directly to and from the Magic Kingdom (and their own security line). I mean, that alone is a reason to want to stay there! Don't have your own RV or simply don't have the time to drive yours to and from #wdw? No worries, y'all. You know I've figured out how to get the best of both worlds! Do like my family did and RENT. Yes, you read that right. Rent an RV and stay at #disneyworldresort! We were SO happy with the RV we got from Camper Rental Adventures. It had a room from my husband and I, a bunk room for the kids, both indoor and outdoor kitchens, and even a tub in the bathroom! The entire RV was set up and ready to go when we got there and my daughter literally gasped aloud when she saw all the #Disneyfamily theming in the bedding and decor. They even provided us with everything we needed for s'mores and a sweet welcome message in chalk on our site pad.   • DOUBLE TAP if pictures of little kids with Disney characters is your jam. Y'all will excuse me if I spend the next couple of weeks flooding your feeds with pictures from our #WaltDisneyWorld vacation. It was just... the best one yet! From staying at #FortWilderness to having the kids be a little older and able to do more rides and experiences to doing our first character meals - it was just the best. Since we've been going to a #Disney park a couple of times a year for several years now, I have a few tips to share with you that will help your trip feel as great as ours was. TIP ONE: Do the @Disney #VISAcard character experiences. Obviously, DO NOT get a credit card just for this (seriously, don't do it) but, if you already have one - DEWIT. The lines are shorter, the characters you visit with are always a surprise, and you'll get a bit more undivided attention from everyone involved.   • If you hadn't heard... WE WERE JUST AT #DISNEYWORLD! Again. I mean, it's a tradition for us after three years of going every January but we were still STUPID excited. This year though, we changed things up a bit and rented an #RV to stay onsite at @Disney's #FortWilderness (a RV and #camping resort). My husband was so excited about this - plus, the golf cart we rented to tool around the resort in. At the suggestion of veteran Fort guests, we bought some battery operated lights to string up along the sides of the golf cart. This makes it easy to find in the parking lot (lots of people use golf carts). I DIYed this felt #MickeyMouse banner to add to it, too. I mean, when in #Disney, right?   • Happy Superb Owl! Yes, you read that right. AD Today I'm gearing up for Superb Owl Sunday around here and celebrating it by sharing this farmhouse chic welcome basket. I swung by Tuesday Morning and whipped up this cute Superb Owl welcome basket filled inspired by that clean, farmhouse style everyone around here loves.   • I've spent years tackling cedar fever and trying to make our home a safe haven from it for my family. #ad Honestly, all my efforts haven't been working that great.   • DOUBLE TAP if you would totally go to a comic book inspired art exhibit! AD Whelp, I just returned from a trip to @CrystalBridgesMuseum in #Bentonville, #Arkansas and their #MosWoW exhibit will be doing just that! Featuring work from artist across all mediums (and there will even be two rare comic books, too!), the exhibit strives to show attendees that anyone can be powerful. There are no limitations - not gender, not age, not abilities. Empowering the every day person to be their own #Superman or #WonderWoman. The exhibit has already taken off with a bang - or, in this case, with a launch! Last Sunday, the #museum launched a unique piece of art inspired by the upcoming exhibit at the #CBArtInSpace event.
