Guys! It's the last week of my second trimester – 27 weeks!
I'm telling you, this time around has been SO MUCH EASIER than my first pregnancy!
Me At 27 Weeks
As I did with my first pregnancy, I'm taking photos and doing a cute week-by-week FYI session from here on out (ala Little Baby Garvin).
How far along?
27 Weeks.
Total weight gain/loss:
After a craptastic couple of weeks where I barely worked out and ate my feelings, I think I'm up to a 40 pound weight gain. I'll get on the scale soon and see for sure.
Maternity clothes?
Still living in these Old Navy tank tops and maternity workout pants. I did pick up a couple more tees to wear to a conference I'm attending in Chicago next week (P.S. They're all up to 50% off this week!).
Stretch marks?
Yes and I started using this cream to see if I can make them less noticeable/not get new ones.
Sleep:
Sleeping great and it's all thanks to my AMAZING mattress (straight up NOT an exaggeration).
Best moment this week:
My husband got to feel him moving! This little man's a kicker and The Boy got to feel that power. He was THRILLED.
Melanie only let him feel her moving twice during my entire first pregnancy so he's beside himself with happiness that our little boy seems more willing to cooperate.
Miss Anything?
Hot dogs.
Movement:
He's a kicker. HARDCORE. Today, I read that he's supposed to be making small, rhythmic movements… um, NO. He's full on body slamming in my uterus.
Food cravings:
Tomatoes and ice cream – not at the same time though.
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Nothing this week.
Gender:
BOY!
Labor Signs:
No.
Belly Button in or out?
In.
Wedding rings on or off?
Off.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Major anxiety the last couple of weeks and I may or may not have had a total meltdown yesterday.
Looking forward to:
Seeing friends in Chicago next week and getting to go to the bathroom BY MYSELF.
In other news, this week was definitely better than last week.
While I sucked it hardcore at the eating right and working out, I did find a great community garage sale and got new car seats for Melanie and the baby for a steal plus TONS of clothes for baby boy.
So, I'm not stressing out about those as much (still looking for brand new car seats but these ones will work great if we aren't able to do that).
Also, I failed my one hour glucose test so I have to go in for the three hour (really four hour) one. BLAH.
