As many of you know, I love Thanksgiving and host it every year. I have been doing it for so long that I have a set menu, a timeline, and all the supplies I need to create a chic yet simple “event” that everyone enjoys. This year, I decided to add another fun level to my Thanksgiving skillz – a leftovers station! Y'all know that leftovers are the absolute BEST thing about the holiday so why not make them the centerpiece of your celebration? I've made it super easy for you, too! I sourced all the supplies and am sharing a bunch of FREE printables so you can create your own Thanksgiving leftovers station:
I loved making this Thanksgiving leftovers station so much and I think I hit all key components people need to take home the yummy extras after the big holiday meal. There are large kraft takeout containers, small kraft takeout containers, and takeout bowls with lids (all lined so they can hold food without getting the container all soggy). There's also some boxes for individual slices of pie! I included some water bottles and takeout coffee cups with lids for drinks on the go (perfect for busting out your Keurig). Last, but not least, I set out some takeout bags with chalkboard labels plus some chalk pens so people can write their names on their bag and fill it with their containers of leftovers!
To create this Thanksgiving leftovers station, I used:
- Large kraft takeout containers
- Small kraft takeout containers
- Kraft takeout bags
- Kraft takeout bowls with lids
- Single kraft pie takeout containers
- Takeout kraft coffee cups with lids
- Water bottles
- Double sided tape
- Hole punch
- Chalk pens
- Baker's twine
- Fun straws
To create the cute labels, I used:
- Canon Printer
- Cricut Explore Air
- Cricut weeding tool
- Cricut adhesive cutting mat
- 8.5″x11″ white cardstock
- Chalkboard vinyl
- 8.5″x11″ plain copy paper
- 8.5″x11″ blank sticker sheets
- Cricut trimmer
- Scissors
To create the labels for the pie and takeout containers, simply load your Canon Printer with the blank sticker sheets (sticker side down on this printer). Download the following files (click on the image and it will automatically download to your computer) and print! Then you can use the scissors and/or the Cricut trimmer to cut out the individual labels and apply them to your assembled boxes. Note: Some containers need to be filled and closed before applying the stickers so be sure to do up one finished container with a sticker for display and leave the others for guests to fill, close, and sticker themselves.
To create the water bottle labels, remove the existing labels from the water bottles (use scissors if you need to). Next, load your Canon Printer with the plain copy paper. Download the following file (click on the image and it will automatically download to your computer) and print! Then you can use the scissors and/or the Cricut trimmer to cut out the individual labels and apply them to your water bottles with double sided tape. Display with fun straws!

To create the leaf labels for the takeout coffee cups, load your Canon Printer with the white cardstock. Download the following file (click on the image and it will automatically download to your computer) and print. Then you can use the Cricut Explore Air to make the leaf shapes! Just go to this pattern in Cricut Design Space and follow the cutting instructions (turn the printed cardstock on it's side so it runs across the length of the Cricut adhesive cutting mat). When it's done cutting, use the Cricut weeding tool to remove the individual leaves. Next, use a small hole punch to punch holes in the stem part of the leaf. Cut lengths of baker's twine with your scissors and then tie the twine around the cups, threading the leaf on and knotting to finish. Note: Tuck a coffee stirrer one under the twine around each cup, if desired.
To create the chalkboard labels for the takeout bags, download the following file (click on the image and it will automatically download to your computer). Then you can use the Cricut Explore Air to make the labels! Cut a 12″x12″ piece of chalkboard vinyl and adhere it to the Cricut adhesive cutting mat (liner side down). Upload the downloaded PNG into Cricut Design and follow the instructions to remove the white text and then cut out the label. When it's done cutting, use the Cricut weeding tool to remove the individual labels. Work slowly and use the point to remove those little bits of text from the label. Adhere the label to the takeout bag and display with chalk pens. Note: Don't have chalk pens? Use plain chalk but with the end sharpened.
If desired, finish off your table with some cute felt ball garlands or tissue paper tassel garlands! Are any of you planning a killer Thanksgiving spread?
