Melanie made her entrance into the world on July 12, 2013 at 9:13 AM.
She was born at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in San Antonio, Texas.
7 pounds // 14 ounces // 20 inches long
We're pretty pleased with her.
I was in labor for 24 hours (I think) and in the actual hospital delivering her for about 1 hour.
I was able to deliver her vaginally and without any pain medications.
The contractions weren't that bad but the pushing was really, really tough.
The Boy was AMAZING and a wonderful advocate, coach, and daddy.
My mom was great and incredibly helpful during the early stages of labor.
I had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours – we came home early Sunday.
I'll be back in the next week or so and sharing all about my final days of pregnancy + our birth story + our hospital stay (and what we learned).
But for now? Cute baby time.
