Hey, guess what? Today is mine and The Boy’s fourth anniversary! From our first date in Alaska, to our 5k wedding in Texas, to the birth of our daughter, to this newest baby – we’ve come a long way. All in all, we’ve been together for 10 years. We’ve never been shy about how much we like each other and how much we enjoy each other physically. We’ve always been very open and able to communicate what we do and don’t like between the sheets and we’ve never been shy about trying out new things. I believe that a couple’s ability to communicate openly about sex is extremely important and there’s no shame in wanting to spice things up. From the beginning of our relationship, we’ve experimented with fun toys and had a great time. But you know what? Those toys were always so… utilitarian and ugly looking that they made me feel a little unsexy when we’d play with them. So, imagine my excitement, when I discovered a resource for chic and modern looking marital aids that were also SO, SO fantastic (OMG. SO FANTASTIC!)! The products from LELO are well-designed, sleek-looking, and just WORK. So, check out my ideas on how to spice up your relationship with a few fun options from LELO:
Alternative Wedding Vows or Readings: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Edition
Let me tell you, one of the hardest things about planning my own wedding was trying to write the wedding ceremony. I was not a fan of the traditional vows (I obey no one but myself thankyouverymuch) and really wanted to find something that reflected our concept of what we wanted our relationship to be. If you’re in the same boat but looking for alternative vows – well, here ya go! Some wedding vows courtesy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.!
Alternative Wedding Vows or Readings: Robin Williams Edition
Let me tell you, one of the hardest things about planning my own wedding was trying to write the wedding ceremony. I was not a fan of the traditional vows (I obey no one but myself thankyouverymuch) and really wanted to find something that reflected our concept of what we wanted our relationship to be. If you’re in the same boat and looking for alternative vows here’s a few from the amazing and truly missed Robin Williams. As a child of the 80’s, I loved him and felt like I knew him. How sweet a memorial would it be to use a few of his best movie lines and quotes about love in your wedding ceremony?
Alternative Wedding Vows or Readings: Maya Angelou Edition
Let me tell you, one of the hardest things about planning my own wedding was trying to write the wedding ceremony. I was not a fan of the traditional vows (I obey no one but myself thankyouverymuch) and really wanted to find something that reflected our concept of what we wanted our relationship to be. If you’re in the same boat and looking for alternative vows here’s a few with a more literary lean from the late Maya Angelou.

Other than on Wedding Wednesdays and the twice-a-month Fitness Friday – I don’t really use this blog to talk about myself or my life. I prefer to keep things strictly budget wedding inspirational and informative. However, y’all know that I’m…
