Like most moms with young kids, I have a tendency to “let myself go”. Like, at the end of the day, I'd rather pay off our debts and sleep than find the time and money to get my hair done. Which sucks because I really like my hair and feel better about myself when it is well cut and with lots of highlights. But man, sometimes, we just cannot afford a full head of highlights (especially at this time of year!). So, I was so excited to find out that I can get affordable highlights at home with SunIn!
Now, this is not the SunIn of your youth… or mine. I have vivid memories of using the old version of Sun In and creating a single streak in my hair. It was a hunk of hair, right at the front of my face, that I randomly grabbed and dunked in a bottle of Sun In. I would do this over and over until that section turned a blonde color. Then I would wear a baseball cap backwards and thread the chunk of hair through the opening.
Yeah… I don't know what I was thinking either.
These days, I lean more toward embracing my brown hair but loving it with warm blonde highlights in it. I don't care if it's winter! I really like looking in the mirror and seeing some gold during the darkest months. See, it's not just for blondes, y'all! Anyone with blonde to medium brown hair can use it.
I love that SunIn gives me the same natural-looking highlights that I'd get from the sun but much, much faster! It's created using an alcohol-free, advanced conditioning system that includes botanical extracts and special illuminators – those give my hair an extra dose of shine. S W E E T.
It's incredibly easy to use SunIn, too. Just apply it to damp hair, blow dry, and enjoy! Ready to try it for yourself? If you are, just pick yours up at Walmart today and get ready for the pretty! Who says there's not enough sun in the winter?
