Alternative Wedding Vows or Readings: DC Entertainment Universe Edition

Let me tell you, one of the hardest things about planning my own wedding was trying to write the wedding ceremony.

I was not a fan of the traditional vows (I obey no one but myself thankyouverymuch).

So, I really wanted to find something that reflected our concept of what we wanted our relationship to be.

If you're in the same boat but looking for alternative vows that are more on the geek power side – well, here ya go!

Some wedding vows straight from the DCEU!

Alternative Wedding Vows or Readings: DC Entertainment Universe Edition

From “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”

“I don't deserve you, Alfred.”

From “Wonder Woman”

“It's not about what you deserve. It's about what you believe. And I believe in love.”

From “Zack Snyder's Justice League”

“I'm not broken, and I'm not alone.”

From “Wonder Woman 1984

“I'll always love you, Diana, no matter where I am.”

From “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”

“This is my world… you are my world.”

From “The Suicide Squad”

“If I die 'cause I gambled on love, it will be a worthy death.”

From “Wonder Woman”

“So, I stay, I fight, and I give, for the world I know it can be.”

From “Suicide Squad”

“Question. Would you die for me? That’s too easy. Would you live for me?”

From “Aquaman”

“Life, like the sea, has a way of bringing people together.”

From “Justice League”

“Divided we are not enough.”

From “Wonder Woman 1984”

“You're the only joy I've had or even asked for.”

From “Shazam!”

“Here’s the thing about power. What good’s power, if you got nobody to share it with?”

From “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)”

“Behind every successful man, there’s a badass broad.”

From “Wonder Woman 1984”

“You don’t ever have to make a wish for me to love you.”

From “Man of Steel”

“You've grown stronger here than I ever could have imagined. The only way to know how strong is to keep testing your limits.”

From “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)”

“For what it's worth, you made me want to be a less terrible person.”

From “Wonder Woman”

“I used to want to save the world. To end war and bring peace to mankind. But then I glimpsed the darkness that lives within their light and learned that inside every one of them, there will always be both. A choice each must make for themselves. Something no hero will ever defeat. And now I know, that only love can truly save the world. So I stay, I fight, and I give, for the world I know can be. This is my mission now. Forever.”

From “The Suicide Squad”

“We don't leave one of our own behind.”
