Ever since I can remember, when the holidays rolled around, my mom would take my sister and I to the mall to select an angel off the Angel Tree. Do you remember doing that as a kid? You'd go a find a paper angel with a child's age and a gift that they wanted for Christmas printed on it – then you'd buy them the gift and drop it off at the donation spot. I loved that tradition and continued to do it even after I left home as a young adult. These days, I'm continuing that tradition with my two kids but also thinking of ways that I can branch out and help even more. Like diapers – they're a unique way to give back this holiday season.
No, really. Did you know that 1 in 3 U.S. families struggle to provide enough diapers for their children? That's right. Literally millions of people are having a hard time helping their children stay clean, dry, and healthy. I really don't want other parents to feel that way so, this year, I'm giving the gift of diapers!
That’s, right. I'm excited to be able to share a special holiday initiative by Huggies and Dollar General. This year, they're helping babies thrive by giving diapers to families in need. For every pack of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers purchased at Dollar General through December 31, 2017, Huggies will donate a day’s worth of diapers (up to 500,000) and Dollar General will donate $1 (up to $5,000) to the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) as part of the Huggies No Baby Unhugged program. Let me repeat that:
For every pack of Huggies you buy, Huggies will donate a day’s worth of diapers and Dollar General will donate $1 to the National Diaper Bank Network!
In September of 2017, the National Diaper Bank Network and Huggies announced a study, Diaper Need and Its Impact on U.S. Families, revealing that one-in-three U.S. families (36%) struggle with diaper need. As the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network since 2011, Huggies, through its No Baby Unhugged program, has provided ongoing support for the organization and has donated more than 200 million diapers and wipes, including critical donations during times of crisis, to those in diaper need.
Huggies + Dollar General = Diaper Awesomeness! You know, diapers just like these adorable Mickey covered Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers that Finn is rockin'!
You can help a family this holiday season by purchasing a pack of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at your local Dollar General and giving the gift of diapers. I just love that! Diapers are such a great gift and so, so appreciated. Dollar General and Huggies know that babies thrive when they are clean and healthy. So, go and help a family get their thrive on!

This is such a great idea. There are always calls out from the shelters and food pantries in our area to donate diapers. It’s something that most people don’t think to donate!
