As a work from home mom with two little kids and no childcare, I'm always looking for ways to introduce tasty new dinner options to my family without investing a lot of time or energy (that I just don't have).
I don't mind doing the traditional fully cooked meal for my crew a few times a week but I have a couple of days that are just swamped (I'm looking at you Mondays and Wednesdays!) and I need any kind of help that I can get come mealtime.
But that time crunch doesn't mean that I want to sacrifice taste so I'm stoked that I discovered how to do infusion cooking at home… the easy way!
I've talked before about how my kids are pretty adventurous eaters and one way that we encourage that is by offering meals at home that feature exotic flavors.
I do love to make a curry or some Korean short ribs when I get the chance but when I'm tight for time, I like to employ my go to kitchen hack – Ling Ling Fried Rice.
This Frozen Fried Rice is available in the frozen food aisle at Walmart and cooks up in the microwave in four minutes. FOUR MINUTES.
For a really quick dinner, I pair this Asian Style Fried Rice with steamed dumplings or edamame but, I have also been known to make myself a serving for lunch.
My kids love using their little “starter” chopsticks and eating the rice and veggies bits. I like that there's five different flavors to choose from: Yakitori Chicken, Yakiniku Beef, Thai-Style Chicken, Chinese-Style Vegetable, and Bibimbap Beef (my family's very favorite) and that they all are made using infusion cooking – so every grain of rice is infused with a signature sauce and incredible flavor in every bite.
And bonus? Right now, there's a coupon for $2 off a box of Ling Ling Fried Rice at any retailer where the products are sold! Expires on January 31, 2018.
And even better? Right now you can enter to win one of 10 $100 Walmart gift cards! Valid November 10 – 22, 2017. I-C will randomly select winners from all program entries and will facilitate fulfillment of the winning prizes (10). Enter below to win!
