So, we've been remodeling our master bathroom in stages for, like, EVER. In the beginning, we bought any old toilet and fixtures we could get our hands on just to have something in there. We needed a functioning bathroom – period. Now that we've been living with it for several years, we've come to the conclusion that it's time to invest in a quality toilet and high-efficiency fixtures. The trickiest thing was our tight quarters. Our master bathroom is T I N Y and has an extremely limiting footprint plus, the spot for the toilet is tucked in next to the shower and offers zero storage options. We knew we needed something that was high-efficiency but also allowed us room for a bit of storage. The Niagara Stealth (the most efficient toilet on the market) was the answer and, when paired with a high-efficiency showerhead and aerators, it's making our master bathroom a more usable spot. Read on for my storage tips for a small bathroom space plus a giveaway!
After installing our Niagara Stealth toilet, I need to eke out a bit of space for some common storage needs around the toilet. Things like, spare rolls of toilet paper, feminine cups, and the like. I'm a firm believer in function and form working together so I looked around my house for attractive containers that I could repurpose for bathroom storage. I found a great glass vessel that perfectly fit in between the wall and the toilet to hold toilet paper rolls. I dug up a couple of woven plant pots that hold my cups and a few items that didn't fit into our main storage cabinet. I added them to a shelf above the toilet and put an oil diffuser up there, too. I had a little extra space on the floor so I added a metal toilet brush and tucked a plunger (hidden) behind the toilet. This little storage spots work well and allow us to really enjoy our new high-efficiency, water-saving fixtures. I've noticed a real change in our water usage since we installed the aerators on our sinks and the new high-efficiency showerhead. These UHET™ Water-Saving Kits are amazingly simple to install and use! And I just love our toilet (is that eve a thing?!?!) because it's got a quiet flush that doesn't wake up Finn.

We need to remodel our bathroom badly. The bathroom was added on (the old “bathroom” is now a hallway) and most of the fixtures in the bathroom are really cheap :/ We’ll probably buy a new sink fixture with the saved money

Holy cow. $700 per year. That’s huge! I can think of about 700 things I’d rather pay for than water/energy with that money. Debt paydown. New shoes (because I’m honest). Vacation fund. The opportunities are endless. We’ve been trying to streamline life/budget and this would be an amazing way to save!

I would actually give it to my parents if I won, the toilet in their guest bathroom is older than I am! It’s a huge water hog and since they’re on a fixed income the savings would be great! They spend an arm and a half for water where they live too.
Jill Hanson says
I like that it uses less water, that means easier on the well, less electricity and easier on the septic. Saving money there would give me more money for groceries.

We just bought a new home, and both of the toilets are old. We plan to replace them, and these toilets would be a good option. The water bill isn’t terribly expensive, but it is higher than what I used to pay.
