Right now all across America, pools are open and waiting for you to enjoy them! For many of us, that means having some family fun in the pool with SwimWays – the perfect way to help raise awareness regarding the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim. Since I grew up swimming nearly every day and continue to love water, it was incredibly important to me that my children love and respect the water the way that I do. As a family, we love to visit the beaches along the Texas coast and also take regular dips in Grandma and Grandpa's pool all summer long. Melanie has been working on her swimming skills and learning to be safe around and in water. This Finn's first real experience around a pool so we're using our SwimWays Baby Spring Float (available at Target, in-store or online) to help him become more comfortable while in the water.
Swimming in my in-law's pool is one of our favorite summer activities as a family and I love that I can get Finn in there with us without worrying about safely holding him in my arms. I just blow up the fabric-covered air chambers and attach the adjustable two-position sun canopy with UPF 50+ using it's snaps. Once inside, Finn's fair skin is protected against the sun and he's able to enjoy floating in the pool with the family. I love that I only need one hand to hold on to the float which allows my other hand freedom to engage in play with him and his sister. There's also a wide mesh ledge all the around it that I can put toys on on let fill with a little water for playing. But, what I love best about our SwimWays Baby Spring Float is that it helps Finn become comfortable in and with water while keeping him secure, balanced, and supported.
As a parent, I feel like there are so many things out there that we have to constantly be worried about and scared of in regards to our children and their safety. Water safety shouldn't be one that we fear so much, we never enjoy it. I am so grateful that SwimWays is working to help parents and kids feel more secure in the pool and while enjoying water-based activities. SwimWays is an amazing company and I'm so grateful for their commitment to helping children learn to swim and promoting water safety. Learn more at Teach Me To Swim!
