The holidays are here and y'all know what that means. Yep – Santa letters.
This was our first year of really doing the whole write to Santa thing (because I'm a total slacker mom and Melanie only learned to write now that she's in kindergarten) and I'm… not impressed.
How To Send A Letter To Santa Without A Trip To The Mailbox
I mean, it's SUPER cute and adorable and all but, MAN, is it a hassle. You have to get you're kid to stop playing and write a letter.
And they don't even really know how to spell anything so you have to sit there and phonetically sound every. single. word out for them. Then, you have to mail it (kiss that 45 cent stamp good bye).
THEN, you have to figure out someway for the Big Guy to respond to the letter (because all those Pinterest parents are ruining everything for the rest of us).
In my case, I had to arrange with my niece in Alaska to mail BOTH letters to her (Melanie's and a prewritten one from SC that I “helped” with) so she could send the Santa one back to Melanie.
Ugh. There has to be a better way, right? I just knew there had to be. AND I WAS RIGHT.
Thanks to the magic of Amazon and the Echo Dot Kids Edition – you CAN send a letter to Santa without a single trip to the mailbox AND check back every day to track its progress to the North Pole.
Plus, your kid can maintain a wish list to Santa and hear a weekly response from Santa himself.
FROM SANTA HIMSELF. Shut up. I KNOW.
You can hook your kid up with an Amazon Echo Dot Kids Edition and give them all the joy of a Santa letter without any of the work on your part. Win FREAKING win.
I love using my Amazon account and Echo Dot Kids Edition (and my Amazon Echo Plus) to make my life easier and Melanie's life better.
I can use it to add items to my holiday shopping list (HOLLA, Amazon Prime!) and ask Alexa to set the timer while I'm baking cookies.
Melanie loves telling Alexa to play Christmas music (which can be played on all our Alexa devices) and asking her Echo Dot Kids Edition all her endless questions (if you have a five-year-old, you know my pain).
I love that I can use our Echo Dot Kids Edition to help spread holiday cheer and keep up the holiday spirit in my family. And thanks to Alexa Skill Blueprints we can have even more fun times with our Echo Plus and other devices.
How amazing is it that in this day an age, we can do so much online and help our kids learn and be better people?
