If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram (and WHY aren't you? I'm a friggin' riot.) you know that last month I attended the wedding of one of my bridesmaid's out in California. And one of the funniest parts of the whole thing was trying to dress myself appropriately beforehand – I even had outfit choices up on my Facebook page for people to chime in on (<— This is not a joke. It really happened.)! Wanna see what I came up with?
My Wine Country Wedding Outfit
Cute, right? One of the most exciting things about my weight loss journey has been learning to dress myself in styles of clothing that I would NEVER have tried before. This dress and simple jewelry combo was so comfortable (I called it my "Good Eatin' Dress" because the drapiness allowed me to fill my belly but not look poochy) but I felt really pulled-togther and "grown-up". Want to recreate this look for yourself? No problem!
*1. Bloomingdale's Aqua One-Shoulder Batwing Dress. *2. Forever 21 Pearlescent Chain Necklace. *3. Forever 21 Raised Rhinestoned Dome Studs. *4. BCBGeneration Women's Ariel Peep-Toe Pump. *5. ASOS Feather Clutch.
This is now my go-to outfit for fancy-schmancy events. How many of you have a go-to outfit for weddings? Why does it work for you? Share away in the comments – you know I love it.

So – those shoes. Review? How were they for a day?

I wore similar gold heels from Aldo and I think they would have been just fine but I made the mistake of getting a pedicure the day before. My skin was so soft, the shoes actually cut my feet. So I switched to flip flops for the reception.
