Wedding Wednesday: Our Wedding Quilt and a Short DIY
Those of you who have followed my wedding planning from the beginning know that I wanted to have something tangible and lasting AFTER the whole shebang was over (I mean, next to a kick ass husband). Sure, we have gorgeous photos and a couple of little bits of decor smattered around the house but I really wanted something sentimental and personal to look at and love long after our vows. Finally, I settled on a wedding quilt.
Partnered Post: Joico ‘Drab To Fab’ Miniseries + Some Incredible Wedding Hair Tips
Joico is hosting a wedding campaign and it kicks off with one of their popular ‘Drab To Fab’ miniseries featuring International Artistic Director, Damien Carney. In this webisode he shows off a mother and daughter getting ready for the big day with two styles that can be re-created at home. This webisode is very interesting to us as after a national survey 73% of women say their wedding is the biggest hair moment in their life along with 1 in 3 women polled that having a horrific hair day is worse than tripping while walking down the aisle.
Mad-Libs Style Wedding Vows
Some of my most popular posts on Kiss My Tulle have been the ones sharing great wedding vow (or reading) ideas for the ceremony. But what if you’d like to write your own vows… but are struggling with writer’s block? Well, how about trying out these Mad-Libs style wedding vows (click on the image to print them out)!
Bridal Skin Care on a Budget
A key ingredient to a fabulous bridal look is… great skin. Really. If your skin is radiant, your make-up will look amazing, your hair will shine, and your photos will be stunning. But let’s be honest, getting great skin can be EXPENSIVE – if you don’t know where to score a deal. The key to gorgeous skin can be achieved at home AND on a drugstore budget – just use these brands religiously.
Wedding Wednesday: Our Cake and Dessert Table
Wedding Wednesday is back and today I’m sharing all the details about our wedding cake and dessert table! This was one of The Boy’s favorite parts of our wedding and something he was instrumental in planning. Very early on in the wedding planning process, we elected to do a tiny wedding cake (to cut for photos) and then a larger dessert table (with lots of cake and cake-like options). Neither of us was particularly interested in one of those large, tiered wedding cakes that never taste good so a dessert table sounded great to us.

Partnered Post: Tips for Wearing Wedding Shoes All Day
Throughout your wedding, you will be the center of attention. Your dress, your demeanor, and your smile should look perfect, but your shoes can negatively affect the way you feel. Uncomfortable shoes can cause pain that can make standing unbearable. Your wedding shoes not only accent your dress; they also must fit properly and provide enough support so that you will be comfortable for hours. Here are some tips that will help you stand in your wedding shoes all day without feeling as though your smile is forced.
Wedding Skin: The Dorito Effect
You saw it in a magazine; you saw it on a friend, now you are looking at yourself with an orange… tan? Spray tan “gone wrong” is not what you want put in your bridal announcements. The appropriate pre-spray tan steps can be given to you at the TIME of your wedding or now.
