I don't know who needs to hear this but… THANKSGIVING IS COMING.
Whee! It's my favorite time of year – I freaking LOVE Thanksgiving.
The food, the family, the friends, the football… it's all awesome.

On November first, you will find me busting out my festive red wreath for my front door, decorating my windows with gold and fall colored garlands, and starting to plan The Big Meal.

So, So Cute!
Aren't they adorable?
Melanie is such a creative writer so this is a great project for her.
I love talking about gratitude with her and hearing her tell me what things she's grateful for.
Wanna know a few?
What Melanie Is Grateful For:
Dad
Always at the top of the list.
Coding and E-Sports
She was in a Girls Who Code club for several years and adores coding, and this year, she joined E-Sports and is having a blast!
Her Tablet
Same, girl. Same.
Books
We're a reading family so this one always makes me smile.
Horse
She has been in equine therapy for several years now and is having the time of her life. She has set herself a goal to practice her rein work so she can learn to trot.
And Finn?
And Finn is working on answering questions that people ask him, plus writing sentences, so this is an excellent activity for him to practice those abilities.
He's nine and is an L2 autistic, so I'm so proud of him for being able to talk with me about and focus long enough to get a few ideas down.
Here's a few things he expressed gratitude for:
What Finn Is Grateful For:
Melanie
His favorite person in the whole world. He considers her his best friend. Her? Not so much.
His Tablet
It's a theme with everyone in our household.
Strawberries
100% Finn's favorite food ever.
Mommy
Kid is pretty into me.
Flags and Logos
Such a unique obsession for him but luckily, my kid's not the only only into flags and logos - there are entire books, YouTube channels, and even games devoted to the subjects.
