Finnegan’s First Year Photo Project : Four Months
Finn turns four months old tomorrow (and will be spending it getting his latest vaccinations). He’s such an amazing and happy little guy! He’s turning into such a cool dude with a cheerful personality. Like I did with Melanie, I’ll be doing a little photo project for his first year with monthly photos and a brief rundown of what’s happening in his little world (I’m sharing this in a format that I plan on using in a photo book featuring his first year):
“Merry Everything” Graphic T-shirt and Onesie Featuring Cricut
Every other year, my little family and I spend the Christmas holidays in Texas with The Boy’s family. Those years are super fun because we’re not stressing about travel and my mother-in-law throws one FABULOUS Christmas Eve party. Tons of people show up and there’s always lots of food, music, and talking. The dress code is nice but casual so this year, I thought I’d toss the littles in some cute jeans and make adorable graphic tops for them with my Cricut Explore Air. Check out this “Merry Everything” graphic T-shirt and onesie (featuring Cricut)!
5 Steps For Self-Care After Having A Baby (Featuring Neutrogena Body Oil)
I tend to be one of those people who “let’s myself go” during my pregnancy. Like, I stop caring completely. After the baby is born, I can start to refocus on myself and feel like me again. And it all starts with some small, simple actions that I can do every day and get back to basics with my self-care routine. If you’re in the same situation and looking to regain that sense of self, here’s my 5 steps for self-care after having a baby (featuring Neutrogena Body Oil):

Finn’s Newborn Photo Shoot
About 15 days after Finn was born, he did a newborn photo shoot with April Deleon of Pure Happiness Photography. I just wanted something very simple and completely focused on him. Lots of naked baby, lots of light, and lots of sweetness. I also wanted to mimic the style of and a few shots from his sister’s newborn session three years ago. Here’s a few of my favorites:

24 Completely Unique and Original Halloween Costumes For Kids
Okay, full confession, I’ve never been a big Halloween person. I don’t do scary, I hate the idea of knocking on strange doors, and I didn’t grow up in a house that allowed pranks. I did love dressing up when I was younger though – but I always picked really random and weird things. Like, a purple alien or a bunch of grapes. No princesses or fairies for me! If your kid is like me and likes to have a little inventive fun then be sure to check out these 24 completely unique and original Halloween costumes for kids!

Getting Baby Ready With Mixbook
I’ve done many posts on preparing for baby and I think that I do a pretty good job of making sure that I have what is needed before the little arrives. However, after the birth of Melanie, I realized that, while I had all the stuff, I had completely neglected to make any preparations for showing her off to the world. I totally forgot to plan for birth announcements, photo books, and photo canvases to showcase all her cuteness. But on my second go around – I was prepared, y’all! I booked a newborn session with Pure Happiness Photography and knew that, when it came time, I would be getting ready with Mixbook!
